A single geep throttles up, rounding the curves into Butlerville. This scene is pure B&O...for now. The signals at Butlerville just to the east are facing replacement, and these may well follow.

CSX J780 rumbles past the Shields CPLs on this withering branch that was once B&O's mainline to St. Louis.

J780 leans into the curve at East End Tunnelton, another former siding control point. The siding and dwarf signals governing it were removed in the mid-2010s.

J780 is in the home stretch on its run to Mitchell, exiting the west portal of Big Tunnel.
